The role of the AEI is not only to coordinate all the clubs, but also to encourage the link between year groups and the Heads of school, to promote ECAM among other institutions in Lyon and to maintain strong student relationships with other schools in the ECAM and CECAM group.

The main events of the AEI during the year are :

• The Festival, organised at the start of the new school year ( beginning of October)
• « Christmas bûche », an evening party in December to celebrate Christmas with students and staff
• A week-end for the year group (either a skiing trip or 3 days abroad)
• The ECAM Relay : a charity race to raise money for humanitarian associations (April)
• The ECAM Forum which brings together students and representatives from about thirty firms (April)
• The CECAM week-end (uniting the three ICAM and ECAM in May).

Personal and professional involvement in clubs and associations is a valuable experience which is why ECAM and the AEI try to encourage maximum participation in these activities.
