INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL IN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
Every summer since 2004, ECAM has proposed an « International Summer School in Science and Engineering ». It is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a truly international experience in a French "Grande Ecole" / Graduate School of Engineering, to learn or improve French language skills while at the same time developing scientific skills.
WHAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL?
The Summer School is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a truly international experience in a French Graduate School of Engineering, to learn or to improve French language skills while at the same time developing your knowledge in a scientific field. It is organized in collaboration with the three other schools of the IPL group (Institut Polytechnique de Lyon). The program takes place in June/July for 5 weeks. The students follow a course specifically prepared for their needs, combining French as a foreign language (36 hours), scientific conferences/practical work in English (40 hours) in the specialties of the IPL Schools. In addition, there are cultural visits and tours of companies and factories during the program. The eight previous sessions have brought together over 200 students from different foreign universities and have given them the opportunity to discover France, Lyon and ECAM.
“Our projects were informative and tailored to our interests while the advising professors were very understanding and helpful”.
Jeremy, North Carolina State University, USA.
"I would highly recommend studying at ECAM to anyone because I absolutely loved my experience. The labs we got to do really helped me understand the material and my professors were extremely good at explaining things in a way that I could understand. There is so much to do in Lyon. I loved my experience so much I am thinking about moving to Lyon after getting my bachelor’s from the University of TN and getting my master’s at ECAM."
Catherine Julson from the University of Tennesse participated in the 2011 Summer School program in Lyon.
