These systems cover virtually all industrial sectors: transport, machinery and tools, agriculture, energy production, etc. The functions they perform are typically responsible for 13% to 14% of the overall energy losses of a given system.<\/p>\n<p>Scientific support for companies, driven by the challenges of the ecological transition LabECAM studies changes to the drivetrain :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>improving the energy efficiency of systems<\/li>\n<li>challenges of electrifying the drivetrain<\/li>\n<li>reliability research<\/li>\n<li>systems monitoring<\/li>\n<li>innovative manufacturing methods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In line with ECAM LaSalle\u2019s general engineering curriculum, LabECAM comprises faculty members from a wide range of scientific fields: mechanics, materials science, energy engineering, electrical engineering and automation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h2><span class=\"heading-4\">THE EMERGENCE OF NEW THEMES<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the diversification of these academic programmes, new research themes are emerging. These include <strong>cybersecurity<\/strong> and <strong>Smart Lean Green<\/strong> (Lean 4.0 change management in connection with the industrial changes associated with ecological and digital transitions). This has led ECAM LaSalle to join forces with external laboratories in these areas of research, in particular with the MAGELLAN laboratory of IAE Lyon 3 &#8211; Universit\u00e9 Jean Moulin for Smart
