\u2018EXPLORING COMPLEX LIFTING AND HANDLING SYSTEMS\u2019 WITH THE REEL POUR L’AVENIR ENDOWMENT FUND<\/span><\/h2>\n

In December 2024, ECAM LaSalle and the REEL FOR THE FUTURE Endowment Fund<\/strong> signed an agreement to create a research chair dedicated to exploring complex lifting and handling systems, responding to the technological and environmental challenges of the industry of the future<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The research chair is based on an integrated approach combining fundamental and applied research<\/strong>, with a view to responding to current and future technological and environmental challenges.<\/p>\n

This partnership is not limited to research. The chair also aims to strengthen educational interactions through course contributions, innovation projects, student mentoring and internships,<\/strong> thereby bringing training and industrial needs even closer together.<\/p>\n

\u2018PROACTIVE DESIGN FOR SUSTAINABILITY\u2019 (PADS) WITH PTC<\/span><\/h2>\n

In early April 2024, the \u201cProActive Design for Sustainability\u201d (PADS) industrial chair<\/strong> will be officially launched, a joint initiative between software company PTC, ECAM LaSalle and the University of Technology of Compi\u00e8gne (UTC).<\/strong> This partnership aims to integrate sustainable development issues and environmental impacts from the earliest stages of design, placing sustainability at the heart of technological innovation.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the chair is a dialogue between industry and education. Research conducted at ECAM LaSalle and UTC will be supported by theses funded by PTC. This research aims to develop new software tools, integrating technologies such as PLM, artificial intelligence and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).<\/strong> This approach will enable the creation of innovative eco-design solutions that meet the needs and constraints of businesses while contributing to the preservation of the environment.<\/p>\n

\u2018INNOVATIVE MECHANICAL TRANSMISSIONS FOR AERONAUTICS (IMTA)\u2019 WITH SAFRAN<\/span><\/h2>\n

On 4 December 2014, the SAFRAN Group, INSA Lyon and ECAM LaSalle<\/strong> joined forces to create a teaching and research chair entitled \u201cInnovative Mechanical Transmissions for Aeronautics\u201d (IMTA).<\/strong> The IMTA Chair consolidates a partnership around research and technology activities on mechanical transmissions in the field of aeronautics, which has been in place for some fifteen years between the LaMCoS laboratory at INSA Lyon, the LabECAM at ECAM LaSalle and the SAFRAN Transmission Systems group, the group’s leader in the field of power transmissions.\u202fAt the beginning of 2021, this partnership was renewed for a period of six years (2021-2026).<\/p>\n

Against a backdrop of rising fossil fuel prices and increasing environmental constraints, the aeronautics industry is developing its R&D to improve aircraft engine performance. Current projects are broadly aimed at reducing fuel consumption, but also at optimising the cost and reliability of the components used. Accessory drive housings, whose function is to mechanically derive part of the propulsive power and drive the accessories necessary for the operation of the aircraft and engine, are one of the modules that have the greatest influence on the overall performance of the system.<\/p>\n

Research is therefore focused on optimising their design and integration within the engine.<\/strong> These studies offer the potential for significant gains in terms of the transmission chain itself, but also in terms of the propulsion system by modifying the overall architecture of the product.<\/p>\n

The IMTA Chair is therefore clearly positioned within the framework of societal challenges of sustainable development in air transport. The purpose of this chair is to promote and consolidate the emergence and development of research areas in the field of mechanical transmissions for the aeronautics sector.<\/strong> The chair aims to conduct upstream and applied research projects, maintaining a continuum between the two approaches. It should contribute to the consolidation and pooling of skills and expertise from the LaMCoS laboratory at INSA Lyon, the LabECAM at ECAM LaSalle and Hispano-Suiza within the SAFRAN group.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\t

\u2018ENERGY TRANSITION SERVING BUSINESSES, INDUSTRIES AND REGIONS\u2019 WITH GRDF<\/span><\/h2>\n

On 29 October 2020, ECAM LaSalle joined forces with ISARA, GRDF and the French Gas Association<\/strong> to create the \u2018Energy transition for businesses, industries and regions\u2019 teaching chair.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An essential part of the ecological transition, the energy transition presents unprecedented challenges and opportunities. The stakes are high: the goal is to successfully implement a series of major changes in energy production and consumption systems in order to move towards a more environmentally friendly world and invent a sustainable future.<\/strong> Now more than ever, we need to innovate, transform organisations and encourage new behaviours. This two-year partnership aims to develop cross-disciplinary and innovative training programmes combining life sciences and engineering.<\/p>\n

\u2018OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE AND LEARNING ORGANISATIONS\u2019 WITH LA POSTE<\/span><\/h2>\n

On 23 November 2017, ECAM LaSalle and La Poste’s Services-Courrier-Colis division<\/strong> launched the \u201cOperational Excellence and Learning Organisations\u201d<\/strong> teaching and research chair.<\/p>\n

The aim of this chair is to generate knowledge in the field of operational excellence by finding concrete solutions in terms of teaching methods and actions to be implemented in companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By signing this agreement, La Poste Group, which has been engaged for several months in a global management system for the continuous improvement of business performance, has agreed to open its doors to become a field of observation and experimentation. In addition to the three-year partnership with La Poste Group, the \u2018Operational Excellence and Learning Organisation\u2019 chair has received support from the Automotive Industry Platform (PFA) as part of a P.I.A. (Investment for the Future Project) and aims to welcome other industrial partners.<\/p>\n
