Foreign students<\/strong> can live at one of the student residences managed by CROUS, subject to availability.<\/p>\n

ECAM LaSalle provides an application form to be completed and returned directly to CROUS for students who can access a room through this agreement.<\/p>\n

CROUS Cafeteria<\/span><\/h3>\n

Since September 2018, the Lyon campus has benefited from a new dining space: the Horizon Cafeteria. Spanning 250m\u00b2, this new area offers a convivial environment for dining and working, with seating for 150 people and an exceptional view of Lyon, thanks to its terrace. All students can enjoy complete, varied, and balanced meals (salad bar, sandwiches, quiches, pizzas, full meals, dairy products, fruits, desserts, etc.) at very affordable prices. The Horizon Cafeteria is managed by CROUS. In the evening, students can purchase takeaway meals.
\nThe menu is \u20ac3.30.<\/p>\n

Dining Room<\/span><\/h3>\n

Students have also access to a dining room equipped with microwaves, large tables, and chairs. Students can bring their meal prepared before or a picnic to eat for lunch.<\/p>\n

Vending Machines Available<\/span><\/h3>\n

ECAM La Salle is equipped with various vending machines available to students. A selection of savory and sweet snacks is available 24\/7. These vending machines are located in the dining room on the ground floor of the Jean Bouisset residence and on the ground floor of the Bonnetain building.<\/p>\n

The Psychological Support and Counseling Service (SAEP) at ECAM La Salle offers free workshops and monthly conferences on various mental and physical health topics<\/span> and<\/span> offer<\/span>s<\/span> confidential psychological <\/span>counselling available in English.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ECAM La Salle organises medical consultations on campus to address risk prevention and healthy lifestyle management, complemented by a mandatory medical examination for students. <\/span><\/p>\n

SOCIAL SECURITY COVERAGE<\/span><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

In France, Student Social Security Scheme is MANDATORY upon entering higher education for all students aged 16 to 28, regardless of nationality (managed by a public institution called CPAM). It covers basic healthcare costs, so an optional complementary system (called “mutuelle”) is highly recommended to benefit from a broader coverage of medical fees (ex: dental and optical fees).
\nECAM LaSalle assists students in subscribing to the compulsory scheme and offers support for those who wish to register for the complementary insurance, thanks to a partnership with an insurance company that provides preferential rates.
\nException: students from the European Economic Area, holding the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or a certificate of affiliation with private insurance, are exempt from the mandatory Student Social Security Scheme.<\/p>\n

WELCOMING STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES<\/span><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

To ensure the smooth inclusion of students with disabilities, support is provided in collaboration with the Student Life Office, the Academic Affairs Department, the Campus Operations Management, the campus doctor, and the Psychological Support and Counseling Service (SAEP).<\/p>\n

Each disability (motor, cognitive, sensory, psychological, debilitating illness, language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, etc.) is considered on an individual basis. Therefore, several accommodations have been put in place:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Extended time; Provision of dedicated rooms; Provision of equipment (computer, braille display, etc.); Break times; Permission to leave; Attendance exemptions; Adapted materials; Specific seating arrangements in classrooms and lecture halls; Online course availability; Educational assistance (tutoring, etc.).<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the school, students bring medical certificates from specialists or any other documents that attest to their disability and meet with the campus doctor who will then recommend accommodations. The second meeting is held with the campus Student Life representative. The aim is to fine-tune the accommodations based on the institution’s resources and the student’s needs. To ensure that the student can benefit from their courses under the best possible conditions, their needs are assessed no later than the start of their enrolment at the institution.<\/p>\n

At any time during the year, the student can contact the Student Life Office to receive an assessment of their needs and the implementation of support.<\/p>\n

For EU\/EEA\/CH nationals<\/span><\/h3>\n

If you are a citizen of a European Economic Area (European Union countries and Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein) or Switzerland, you do not need to obtain a student visa to study or complete an internship in France. You may enter France freely regardless of the length of your stay or studies.<\/p>\n

However, you must be covered by sickness and maternity insurance and have sufficient resources to support yourself and any family members accompanying you.<\/p>\n

For non-EU\/EEA\/CH nationals<\/span><\/h3>\n

Students from outside the European Union<\/strong> must obtain a long-stay student visa to stay in France for the duration of their studies.<\/p>\n

Upon your arrival in France, you will need to complete administrative procedures to change your visa into a regular residence permit. These formalities will also allow you to access services provided by the French administration. These procedures differ depending on the visa you have received.<\/p>\n

Local students team up with exchange students to ease their transition, explore the city, and share cultural experiences. They organise events throughout the year and inform them about clubs and associations

\nThroughout the year, we organize a variety of leisure activities with our partner institutions, IPL,<\/a>\u00a0LYON International<\/a>, for exemple dinners with Lyon families, picnics with international students from other Lyon schools, Beaujolais outings, wine tastings, and opera visits.<\/p>\n
