Entrepreneurship at ECAM LaSalle

ECAM LaSalle has developed entrepreneurship for many years basing its education on three major approaches: education, providing support for technological innovation, and assisting in creating businesses. A major component of our engineering school is opening, from their first year on, students to the idea of creating their own businesses, which creates a growing hub for inventors and creators.
True to its values, ECAM LaSalle insists on bringing a humanist approach to entrepreneurship, through personalized assistance and a dedicated team. Entrepreneurship at ECAM LaSalle is open to the world, using our vast network of creators to connect to other networks in France and abroad.

Entrepreneurship in the Classroom

In every academic program ECAM LaSalle offers, students are trained to be innovative and inventive engineers and aware of business opportunities that await them.

This entrepreneurship training includes such programs as:

  • Core courses on entrepreneurship that teach students about innovation and business management.
  • Optional advanced courses that teach the different steps of business creation. Students are encouraged to develop a project.
  • The Projet Léonard, a 4 th year project for ECAM Arts et Métiers students, where they are put in the role of project and innovation management. Through working with a team, students identify clients’ needs, create project specifications, and offer innovative solutions to real-world problems.
  • The R&D project has students work for 6 months on a research and development project given by a company, start-up, or student-entrepreneur.

ECAM Entrepreneurs Club

The ECAM Entrepreneurs Club brings together current students, alumni, local entrepreneurship figures, and business managers who want to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

Led by ECAM students and alumni; the ECAM Entrepreneurs Club aims to:

  • Promote professional interactions about concrete ideas between those who have created their own businesses and students who have short or medium- term projects.
  • Create synergy between creators and soon-to-be creators and develop a robust entrepreneurial community
  • Organize regular meetings. Once a month, the Café-Entrepreneur hosts start- up founders and entrepreneurial experts who speak about their experiences.
  • Organizing events to highlight new projects
