The Industrial Digital Systems specialised engineering course is a three-year work-study program combining digital and industrial engineering. It trains engineers capable of supporting companies in the digital transition, using emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things, robotics, data management and artificial intelligence. The course includes ethical awareness to inform students of CSR issues, through responsible use of digital technology and sustainable development. All students also benefit from immersion in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as regular exposure to research.
This programme leads to the award of a “Titre d’ingénieur” ( engineering degree) recognized by the CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur), equivalent to a Master’s-level qualification, and provides the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies.
Skills developed:
Managing digitisation projects while taking social and environmental issues into account
Working as part of a team in an international context using ethical management practices in line with ECAM LaSalle values
Developing innovative digital solutions in response to issues faced by organisations and the research community, by applying intelligence methods and a rigorous scientific approach
Integrating digital tools into a continuous improvement process in order to drive the value creation chain
Implementing maintenance and security systems for industrial information systems
The course includes classes in engineering sciences, industrial and digital engineering and management sciences. It uses “Learning by Doing” pedagogy, based on experimentation and collaboration. This includes in-company training, classes at ECAM LaSalle, a 3-month international internship, practical work and group projects. The three-year programme includes 170 hours of academic training at ECAM LaSalle.
Industrial digital systems engineers are responsible for supporting the digitisation of industrial systems and developing organisational performance. Their activities include:
In addition to the period spent at the host company, students must complete a minimum internship of 12 weeks abroad. Some students complete their work-study at companies whose business focuses exclusively on the French market and cannot offer students the opportunity to complete their assignment abroad. In this case, ECAM LaSalle calls on other partners who match the student’s career plans to host them for a minimum of two months. During assignment, the student remains an employee of the initial host company and is seconded by it to the new company.
This training programme is intended for those who have earned an advanced technician certificate in France: to learn more about the admission process, please visit this page.
